Uncomfortable July 29, 2010 Jake Owens
Pros:
--It's light, light for a around the ear headphone.
--It's a smooth design
--Sound-quality, you can hear ambient/background noise a little clearer
Cons:
--Uncomfortable: 1.Shape of ear-pads, not for humans, apparently some people have straight up and down ears, this was my first instinct when shopping for headphones, not to buy them because of the up and down shape, always trust your first instinct. 2. Depth of ear-pads, not very deep your ear may be squished against a hard surface.
Uncomfortable after a while July 18, 2010 J. Yu (Tallahassee, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I share an office with five other grad students. I like to work in there, but it can get noisy, so I wanted a pair of closed headphones to wear while listening to white noise. I chose these because they're cheap and got good reviews. I'm not an audiophile, so I probably couldn't tell if the sound quality was bad unless they crackled or something (which they don't). They sound find to me, and they're plenty loud for my purposes; I just need a low hum in the background. In fact, even wearing them without my m3 player on helps cut down the distracting chatter. And they serve as a "leave me alone, I'm working" sign.
The problem is that I when I wear these headphones for longer periods (more than 30 minutes), my head starts to hurt. It begins as a slight pinching sensation and progresses to a dull throbbing. They don't cause terrible pain, but obviously, any pain is undesirable -- and not conducive to studying!
So I ordered the Panasonic RP-HTX7-W1 Monitor Headphones (White), which are much more comfortable (and stylish!). I leave the Sennheiser pair at my desk (I won't be heartbroken if someone steals them) to use on days when I forget the Panasonic RP-etc etc.
missing adapter July 14, 2010 cashopper Everything on the headphone is ok except ...
On the box it says there is a 6.3mm adapter enclosed but I could not find it ... in neither of the two I bought.
stereo headphones July 10, 2010 nadinemalia I got this free with my Pepsi points. It works great with my mp3 player and laptop. It also has a long cord that allows for freedom of movement and dancing around!
Decent July 5, 2010 Gaines I am by no means an audiophile nor have I ever heard of Sennheiser before purchasing these headphones. First off the sound quality is everything I look for in a headphone set. However I like to rattle my brain with loud music and these headphone just won't get very loud. Now granted my computer is a piece of crap and it may be at fault and if I purchase a new one I will change my review. The headphones aren't too heavy like many over the ear sets. One thing I don't really like is the chord which is around 10 feet long. More than anything it just gets in the way if using these headphones for a pc. They are very comfortable. Even though they won't blow out my eardrums at higher volumes they do cancel out all but the loudest noises from the environment. Even at the highest volume I could make them pump out no one else in my immediate vicinity could hear the music which is a major plus on my part and the only reason I give them a 4 instead of 3.
All in all a very good product for the price, but if you like really loud music I would suggest something different.
